Digitalization & Inclusion
through VR
On our website you can find out everything about our innovative project: a VR wheelchair simulator that gives people with mobility restrictions new experiences. I am Matthias, owner of a VR simulator company with over 6 years of experience. My vision is to use technology to break down barriers and redefine freedom - for everyone.

The project
Our goal is to build a simulator that people in wheelchairs can ride directly on and use innovative technologies to give them new, exciting experiences and access to activities that are not possible for them in real life.
The VR wheelchair simulator is designed not only to break down physical barriers, but also to open virtual doors to adventures and experiences that previously seemed unattainable. Using virtual reality (VR) and realistic motion technology, people in wheelchairs can enter immersive worlds where they can experience things that are difficult or impossible to access in the physical world.
Through the VR simulator, we create experiences that overcome the limits of reality - whether it is a ride on a roller coaster in an amusement park, a virtual journey through inaccessible natural landscapes or the thrill of a car race. These experiences can be offered in different locations, such as theme parks, museums, rehabilitation centers or events - anywhere where people are looking for new forms of entertainment and discovery.

Virtual roller coasters and theme park rides
Our simulator offers people in wheelchairs roller coasters from all over the world, virtually with a motion simulation.
Virtual trips to exotic places
360° images from around the world allow people in wheelchairs to explore the globe on site.
Virtual nature experiences and adventures
Fly with a paraglider, paddle through wild rivers or explore the ocean – all without physical obstacles.
Interactive adventures and virtual games
Driving a racing car or motorcycle, virtually with a motion simulation, is now possible for everyone.

Why you should support our project
Why we need your support
The development of the VR wheelchair simulator requires significant financial resources to implement the technology at the highest level and make it accessible to as many people as possible. The costs of constructing a bespoke platform, integrating realistic motion technologies and developing the software are high. Added to this are the salaries of our team that drives the development over a year, as well as marketing to publicise the project and storage of the equipment.
Your support will help us achieve these important milestones and create an innovative experience for wheelchair users that opens up new worlds for them.
With your help we can break down barriers and make the project a reality!
What | Description | Cost |
---|---|---|
material for the construction of the platform | Materials such as steel, aluminum, wood, sensors, etc. | 5,000 CHF |
movement unit of the simulator | Mechanical components (servo motors, actuators, hydraulics) | 45,000 CHF |
Wages for 2 employees (1 year) | Average annual salary: 80,000 CHF per employee. | 160,000 CHF |
Software Development for Movement | Development of the control for the motion unit and VR integration | 25,000 CHF |
marketing costs | Advertising, website, social media, events, presentations | 60,000 CHF |
storage costs | Storage area for materials, equipment and finished platforms | 25,000 CHF |
PC (for VR software and simulation operation) | high-performance PC (VR-ready) | 5,000 CHF |
To start the project, we need a total of CHF 300,000.
My stepmother lives with primary lateral sclerosis and is in a wheelchair. Since her diagnosis, I have seen first-hand how limited mobility and opportunities can be for people in wheelchairs. I have had to witness how, despite her unbroken courage and positive attitude to life, she cannot experience so many things that others take for granted.
This touched me deeply and inspired me at the same time. With the VR wheelchair simulator, I want to create a way for wheelchair users to explore new worlds without being held back by their physical limitations.
It should be an opportunity to share experiences, experience adventures and feel freedom – all of the things that are denied to many in everyday life.
Inspiration
Unfortunately, there are still far too few opportunities for people with limited mobility to take part in exciting experiences. For example, amusement parks are often not designed to be barrier-free and most rides are not accessible to wheelchair users. Attractions such as roller coasters, virtual reality experiences or theme rides are in most cases not suitable or safe for people in wheelchairs. Here are some examples:
Amusement parks: In most roller coasters, water rides or carousels it is impossible to participate in a wheelchair.
Trade fairs and exhibitions: Interactive installations and rides presented at trade fairs are often not accessible to people with mobility restrictions.
Simulation attractions: Racing simulators, flight simulations or VR games are usually designed for standing or walking users.
Destinations: Nature experiences such as mountain peaks, cable cars, safaris or even beaches are often difficult to access or require mobility aids that are difficult to organize in reality.
The reality for wheelchair users
How can I support the project?
Together we can make the world a little more accessible and more enjoyable for wheelchair users. Whether as a private individual, company or institution - every support helps us to develop the VR wheelchair simulator and provide those affected with unique experiences. Here are the ways you can support us:
